Mary Ellen Mark, one of the premier concerned photojournalists, is "disillusioned with magazines," she says. "They're all about making money right now. [In the '90s) I want to do my own projects and I'm going to look for corporate support to finance them." Her newest photos, of Indian circus performers, will be featured in a one‑person exhibit at George Eastman House, and a new book will debut in 1991.
