Drawing on her photographs of children, Mark has produced a book and an Academy Award-nominated film (with Martin Bell) both titled Streetwise.
“I have seen a loss of innocence in children in the last 20 years. In this short period, life has become much tougher and more aggressive. Television, in its relentless global unification, is bringing images of war, violence and sex, making them the common currency of the rich and the poor alike.”
